On the weekend of March 12 and 13, the Balkan Cheese Festival will be held in Belgrade, at the premises of Mikser House at Karađorđeva street 46.

This two-day exhibition will preesent around 100 artisan cheeses with the geographical origin  from the regions of Serbia, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Croatia, Italy, Macedonia and Montenegro, to the broader audience. 

Visitors will have the opportunity to try rare and unusual cheese assortments, get insight and knowledge about this food, and enjoy pairing cheeses with wines.

The programme of the festival  is also enriched with lectures, presentations and culinary workshops.

Presentation titled „Who found its cheese?“, insipred by the book on change: „Who has stolen my cheese?“ of the author Spencer Johson will be given by Dragan Đorđević, Chief Hedonist Officer of the Association of Authentic Hedonists.

Lectures on subjects  “Cheese producing – artisan craftmanship, science,art”  and  “How the kings of cheeses are born ” will be held on Saturday and Sunday at 2 PM by Professor  Jelena Miočinović, PhD,  and Zorana Miloradović, PhD, of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Belgrade.
